Wes Hangin' Out at Home!
Apartment Life
Hello all! As Candice and I are hanging out together over Christmas break several amusing things have happened and we felt that you should know... First Candice was chilly last night so she decided to wear a toboggan all night...That's right a toboggan, in the house! Anyway clearly this had to be made fun of so pictures were taken. Then in an effort to make her toboggan more appropriate she donned a hoodie and thus the tribute to Eminem began. Clearly you are all jealous that you don't live here with us :-)
You wanna mess with me!

Ode to Rhiannon
Also, from what I hear, several of our ZPO's had an amazing night at the Dame. Rhi was picked up and may have a date for New Years, Candice's number somehow ended up in the bartender's pocket, and some stranger on the street told Boo she was beautiful...can't beat that for a Tuesday night out!

Random Updates
Candice is doing really well from her surgery. Her scabs are just starting to come off, but all in all it has gone as easily as you could hope. She does seem to have a little virus right now, so that sucks....back to work on Thursday sucks more.
Missy is busy packing. She is moving in with Boo and Chris over this week, then starting school after the first of the year. We all hate to move, but it will be so great once she is in a settled!
Boo and Chris are getting ready for the New Years Eve Party. Everyone has to be there because, well, it is going to be the coolest party in town!
Charing made it through the night of dog sitting for the neighbor....thank goodness. For the record, it was a lab, and although it was eight weeks old(and the same size and her five year old poodle), it has a bark that could be heard a mile away. The kids had a great Christmas and are loving being out of school.
Rhi is also loving being out of school! She was evacuated from her apartment at five in the morning for a fire, but besides that the break is flawless!
I am doing nothing (clearly by this post). I am going out of town for work next week, so there may be little to no posting going on...or more likely, if I have access to a computer there will be many random posts such as this one...alone in Moorehead...kill me know.
On a totally different subject, did any of you notice that the options on the poll are different than the results?? If you are wondering why, it is because I am a fool. Speaking is not one of you five senses. I tried to change it, but it only did it on the poll, not in the results. fool. so...basically, if you vote for taste, it will show up in the results as speaking. I know none of my ZPO's would ever give up speaking!
As of now, we do not have a January zeta phi omega meeting set. I was figuring we would give our newest mama a chance to get settled and see what she is able to do, or if she needs to miss this month. I figure we will have something decided in the next week or two. If anyone has any idea's floating around in their head, by all means let the rest of us know!

The South Carolina Crew
Nick, Chris, Candice and I spend the last few days with the family in South Carolina. It was a wonderful trip and so great to spend time with everyone. We did way to much eating(...yummm....fudge and christmas cookies and heavenly ham....), played games and had an all around blast. Here is a family photo we shot at Christmas dinner!
Tomorrow is the Big Day!!
Our sweet baby Wesley is finally getting to come home! Liz and Cory are spending the night at the hospital to do a test run and he is coming home in the morning! We are all so excited to get him out of the NICU and home into his own bed with his family! Liz, everyone is so excited and we just cannot wait to see him!

Friend Christmas Dinner
Last night was our annual Friend Christmas party and it was so wonderful!!! Now, I know many of you might be thinking that I have lost my mind because we had our Christmas party a few weeks ago, but this is Friend Christmas, not ZPO Christmas...the main difference being that we let other people come!
Well, this is the first year that we decided to not bring gifts for everyone, and instead to let our love (which is clearly free) be gifts enough! The party was a Boo and Chris's house and was so wonderful! We set up a huge table for all 15 of us in the dining room....okay, it was three tables of various heights pushed together, but it worked out perfectly! All the girls brought wonderful food and we had a full fledge Christmas dinner.
It is amazing how with all of our busy schedules so many of us were able to make it. Candice came, only six days post surgery (and brought muffins!!! Amazing!) Charing was there with Morgan, Zack and Carter. Damn, that boy is popular! I think any one of us would take him home in a heart beat! Whit came, which was so wonderful, plus Missy finally had a night off work to spend with us! Nearly everyone was there!
The night was nearly perfect. Almost all of our friends were able to make it, but we were sadly missing Liz and Cory, who spent the evening with Wes, JC and Evie who thought it better to keep the two week old at home, Big Scott, who had to work (poor Scott) and Alyssa, who was with her mom this week, and could not make it. Besides that everyone was there and it was so much fun. We had a wonderful meal, tons of laughs, lots of wine and made lots of great memories. It could not have been any better! Merry Christmas everyone!

Could he be any more adorable?!?!

Oh, the Love...
Okay, okay...so I might be a little bit bias, but could my Godson (right, right...and Liz's son) be any more adorable??? I am thinking the answer is a clear "No". I just cannot believe how big he is getting and how great he looks! Just so everyone knows, Wesley is now up to Four pounds! They have taken the feeding tube out because he is totally capable of eating on his own and has no need for their stupid tube. He is so smart....just look at him laying there....dreaming about coming home!! Keep an eye out for his coming home announcement around the New Year!

What a Christmas Party!
I know you all have been waiting for this post, but it takes a little while to write about such a perfect night! The ZPO's decided quite some time ago to have our first annual Christmas Party at Charing's new house. Many of the girls had never been there, so it seemed like the perfect time to show it off! Big Scott and the kids (minus baby Carter of course) had gone to Indiana to see the UK vs IU game. Seeing as how they were out of the house for the night, it was the perfect time for us to come over...okay, so actually the game was over by like five and they could have easily been home, but Scott, being great in every way, kept the kids in a hotel over night so we could have the house all to ourselves!
The evening started around seven. Charing had made a wonderful meal. As we all arrived we hung out in the kitchen, passing around the baby and eating appetizers. I am sad to say that Carter is a little colicky, so he was a little picky about how he wanted to be held....as long as you hold the baby like a football, he is happy for life!!
While hanging out and having a couple of glasses of wine before dinner, there was a knock at the door. Well, all the ZPO's were there (except Missy, who once again could not get out of work for the ZPO meeting...we were so sad!!) so who was at the door you ask...That's right...it was Christmas Carolers! I have to say in all my days I have never had actual Carolers. they were from the Christian home school and they sang to us, then asked for an item for the scavenger hunt. In our most Christian like fashion, we watched them as we drank our wine, insisted on taking pictures of them, and then tried to convince them it was okay to lie and take two items from our house for the hunt....they declined.
Once we had our fill of the appetizers, we moved into the dining room for the main course. Charing had made a wonderful dinner that we all devoured. Dinner was filled with the ZPO's talking, laughing and basically having the time of our lives! While at dinner, Charing and Rhiannon both gave the chapter gifts that they had made. Charing had made us a picture and an ornament that was so cute! Rhi, in a equally cute way, made the entire chapter picture frames. How great are they?!?!
After dinner we had a little surprise for Charing...it was her initiation!!! I am sorry to say there are no pictures of this because, well, as you all know it is top secret. I will say it was a huge success and now she is no longer a pledge, but a full fledge member of ZPO with full fledge knowledge of all of our secrets and traditions!
After initiation, Rhi gave Liz her birthday presents. She also got her some really sweet outfits for Wes. How great!!
Once dinner, birthday and initiation was done, we moved to the kitchen for more wine, then on to coffee and desert. Charing made the most amazing chocolate pie, as well as an incredible cheese cake that I think Candice is still dreaming about. The party lasted well into the night, and it was basically the best Christmas party ever!!
Get Well Soon!

Christmas is Coming
I know you all have been waiting for the Christmas carolers picture, so here it is! The door bell rang at Charing's house and Rhi said, "I think it's carolers." We should have believed out friend at first, but of course were in disbelief until we saw with our own eyes. They were fabulous, and completely embarrassed to have their pictures taken.
Rhi and I holding baby Carter like a football. That was the name of the game at the ZPO Christmas party held at Charing's.
Dad, Mary, Victoria, Nick, Sarah, Lauren, Jackson and I all went to the Kentucky Chorus sing-a-long at Rupp Arena. It was tons of fun and here are some pictures we took at Lauren's before the big show. How cute is he??!?!?
Sarah and I joined Mary and Victoria with other family members for lunch at the Green Tea room. It was a very nice lunch with awesome food!
Oh the Rascal Flatts concert, how I loved it. I am so glad I got to go see them live. It was super great and I had a great time with my teacher from Dunbar Sarah Lubbe. We might have had a little too much fun, but I had to put all the pictures in. : )
After a long afternoon in the kitchen Thanksgiving Day, dad and I do a celebration turkey dance. Hey we deserved it for such a good meal!
Nick, Sarah, and Ellie snug as a bug chilling on Thanksgiving. Chris and his lady were also there.
Yes that is Kahlan. Yes she does have a bra on her head. And yes this is what Rhiannon and I do in our apartment when we're bored. We love her though! Sorry Rhi, I just had to share! Haha...
