Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween ZPO and ZPO friends and family! Here is a picture of all of us (minus Candice, who was at Davis's party) this year at Boo and Chris's Halloween Party. Hope everyone has a great day!

Happy Birthday Boo!!

Happy Birthday to the best big sister a girl could ever ask for! (and I am sure the other girls would say best friend, best cousin...you totally rock) You deserve everything you want and more. We all love you so much and can't wait to go out and celebrate your big 2-9 this weekend! Happy, Happy Birthday Boo!

**Yet again another husband sneaking into a birthday pic**

Happy Birthday Charing!!

Happy 40th Birthday my dear sweet best friend. Nobody could ever ask for a better friend than you. You are always there for all of your ZPO sisters with coffee, Margarita's, food and most importantly great conversation. You share in all of our joys and all of our heart aches. You really are the best friend a girl could have. We all love you so much and hope you have the best birthday ever!

**Yes, I know your husband worked his way into your birthday pic, but I still haven't recovered my old pictures from the fried computer, so the options were VERY limited...plus you all look so cute**

**Speaking of pictures, I HAVE NOT forgotten about the New York post, I just have NOBODY'S pictures yet! Pass them on to me and I will get a post up about the amazing birthday weekend!**

Back to School and August ZPO

Well, it is that time of year again. Many of our ZPO's are now heading back into the classroom. Candice is now also joining the ranks of teachers in our group. Soon those of us not in the education profession will be out numbered! Girls, we hope your first week went great and that you have classes full of angels who's minds are open and ready to be filled to the brim with all that wonderful knowledge you have to offer!

We also had our August ZPO this past weekend. ZPO dates have kind of been blurred this summer because...well, honestly we have been doing so much stuff together! Not something to complain about at all, but it makes posting about our monthly meeting a little different. That and the fact that I cannot get my ass on the ball of keeping up with this site. Anyway, this weekend was the scheduled ZPO for August. Friday night me, Nick, Boo, Chris, Charing, Scott, Candice and Davis all went out to Atomic Cafe for drinks. We always enjoy their patio and all had a really great time!

Saturday morning Charing, Boo, Liz, Rhi and I all met for breakfast and catching up at Charings. Charing, thanks for putting up with us all...we know we might have been slightly overwhelming what with all of the drinking from the night before, but we all had a really great time! That afternoon Boo, Charing, Carter and I headed down to the Woodland Craft fair. They have such amazing stuff....plus damn good food! That night the Cooks, Kelseys and Cpreks all went out to dinner at Ruby Tuesday's then over to Marikka's for some drinks. We got to watch a very fascinating display on the volleyball court....oh the man who thought he needed his shirt unbuttoned...and then his jeans peg rolled...now that was a real treat!

So you see what I mean, blurred lines. Either way, the ZPO girls are getting lots of time in together and we are all having a blast!

Candice's BIG 2-5

Happy birthday Candice! Everyone had a great time at dinner last night. Ruby Tuesday's on the patio ROCKS!! Hope you enjoyed all the birthday celebrating, singing, and what not! Austin City also ROCKED! So glad we could all be a part of your birthday! We LOVE you!

*Sorry I'm a couple days behind but due to computer issues posting opportunities are limited.

Happy Birthday USA!!

By Bo0

Okay, so this post is a little over due! But we've all been really busy! Not too busy to write on our own blogs I hear you whisper...whatever! Fine, SHAME, we feel bad about it and we'll try hard to do better! All seven ZPO girls were together for the 4th of July! AMAZING! It's actually pretty rare for ALL of us to get together. Someone usually has to work, is out of town or has a prior committment. Everyone who can come does come it just usually works out that there are 5 or 6 girls at any given event so to have all 7 of us together was a real treat!!
We where, of course, at Tarp & Jim's Fabulous 4th of July White Party!!! The evening started of rainy and we thought the fireworks might be cancelled but luckily the rain stopped just in time! Tarp has an awesome roof top patio with a perfect view of the downtown fireworks! The fireworks were great even though we wrongly predicted the "grand finalle" 4 times before it actually happened!

We drank, laughed, danced...basically celebrated our nation's birthday with style! Everyone's already looking forward to next year! What the theme be...we'll have to wait to find out!!

Get Well Soon!

I am sad to tell everyone that Charing's step-dad Marty has had a stroke and is now in the hospital. It has been a very difficult last few days, but he is finally doing a little better. Looks like there will be a very long hospital stay, followed by lots of physical therapy, but the important thing it they were able to get in there and save him. Charing flew home from her trip to New York yesterday to be with Marty and her Mom. Marty, all the ZPO's love you so much and can't wait for you to get better!

Vacations!

So we all know that I have kind of sucked at updating ZPO as of late, so I am doing one big Vacation post!

Rhi and Travis just got back from Florida with her family this week. Rhi, we missed you and are so happy you had such a great time!

Charing and Boo are both leaving on Family vacation today. Charing will be with the family in New York while Boo and Chris will be with Chris's family in Hilton Head. I am sure you all will have a great time! We will miss you and can't wait to see you in a week!

Next weekend Candice is heading down to Florida with Davis and his family. We will miss you guys at the 4th of July Bash, but I am sure the beach is a good trade! Have fun!

Me, Liz and Missy are going nowhere. How sad is that? Doesn't really seem right, does it?

Missy Turns The Big 2-5!

Our sweet little Missy has just had a birthday! Amazing but true, she is now twenty five! To celebrate a large group of us (Liz and Cory couldn't make it, but the rest of the ZPO's were there!) went downtown and had an amazing dinner on the patio at Dudley's. Seriously...the food was slammin'! After dinner we headed out for drinks and dancing at Salattos. Everyone had such a great night. It was the perfect way to celebrate your big day! Happy Birthday baby girl! I am sorry this is a bit late, but we all love you so much!!

May's Meeting

I do realize it is now June, and I am sure all of our fans figured we had totally forsaken ZPO. This is not true...I have just totally forsaken the ZPO website! I do still have plans of handing over the reigns to Charing, but for now it is still my fault the posting has not been happening!

So, a couple of weekends ago we had our first ZPO night out in quite some time. We have actually changed up the ZPO planning a bit. We are now each taking turns planning a month. We set our date, someone takes charge, and whoever can come will come. This month was really a very small group due to the fact that we had it on Memorial Day weekend and lots of people had family and friends in town. Anyway, Boo (who was doing the planning), me, Charing and Candice all headed down for a wonderful night of dinner and drinks on the patio at Atomic Cafe.

We had such a wonderful time! Our food was wonderful, our drinks would have been awesome had they not tried to kill me by spiking my drink with NASTY NASTY BANANA Liquor. How could they?!?! Boo told us all about her IVF plans. She has a new personal blog about the entire process. Take a look at her new site
Optimistically Waiting and keep up with their process while giving her tons of love and support! (Boo-we all love you and are so excited for you and behind you all 100%!!)Anyway, the band was great, the conversation was great, the weather was perfect...all in all it was a perfect night out with the girls!

***In case you haven't noticed, the ZPO site has undergone a serious face lift. Liz used her mad skills to come up with a new picture for the site, so I worked with it to come up with our new look. Hope you all like it!***

Happy Mother's Day!

Just one day late...not to bad at all! Happy Mother's Day ZPO mom's and all mom's of ZPO's! I hope everyone had a perfect day full of love and pampering and perfect angelic children! No doubt about it...the ZPO's are a very lucky group of girls with all of our perfect mama's. We love you all so much!

Graduation!

I am so proud to report that in only one years time our sweet Candice has graduated from UK with her masters degree!! She has taken a job and everything, so basically life is working out perfectly. In order to celebrate all the ZPO's (minus Liz who was fighting off mono and had to stay home) along with our guys and some other friends headed out to Main Street Live for the night. There was way to much drinking and dancing going on...especially for this girl, who had to make it to the actual graduation the next morning! Anyways, the entire night was wonderful. I think we all really loved the night out. Candice, we are all really proud of you and very happy to help you celebrate!

On a different note...sorry I have been gone for the past month. I have not been coming home for lunch lately, and when I have time to post, I usually am getting something up on Bio Girl....so that being said, I think I am going to be handing over the reigns of ZPO here shortly. I am VERY excited to tell you that Charing will be in charge of the day to day postings and updates around here. How great, right!

On a second different note, Liz has been working on a new picture for our site. She finished it today and let me tell you, it is really great! I will be working on building the rest of the site around the new picture, and should have our new look up within the next week!

Happy Easter!!

Just wanted to get a quick post up to say I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend full of tons of chocolate and tons of family...no doubt that worked out for most of us. It has been a little wild what with Charing having nine kids at her house and Boo having Natalia for the weekend. We had a VERY late cold spell and even ended up with some snow on the ground. Definently made for a cold Easter egg hunt, but we take what we can get! Anyways, hope you all had a great Easter!

Out to Lunch

So, I suck a little. I am so sorry it has taken me so long to get this post up. I have no good reason...not waiting on pictures...not waiting to get all the details...I just never made the time...until now!

A couple of weeks ago the ZPO's all got together for Lunch at the Nagasaki Inn. Oh lord this place is so good! Liz was not able to make it because her inlaws were in town, plus they had stuff to do with the house. All the other girls were there and it was really nice to all be out together. There were plenty of very interesting stories told (esp. thanks to Candice) lots of laughing and catching up.

After we had our lunch we headed over to Candice's apartment which is right around the corner. Her place is seriously adorable! Candice, you have really turned it into a home. I love it! We sat around there and laughed some more. Anyways, that was basically our day. It was great!

***Now, here is a list of things that should have been posted on ZPO when they happened but I didn't get them up here***

Candice-have a great time in Florida! Be careful. We will miss you, but hope you have a blast!

Candice- Welcome home from Florida! We missed you!

Boo, Rhi, Charing, Candice, Missy and Morgan-Enjoy spring break! I am thinking Liz and I got the raw end of the deal here....

Liz-congrat's on the new car. It is awesome!

Missy- We are so proud of you for making the Dean's List! You are doing so great in school!
*****************
Okay, that is all I can think of for now. I promise to do better keeping up with our ZPO site. Sorry!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day ZPO! I hope you all are wearing your green and eating lots of green food this evening...what's that? Not everyone uses an entire bottle of green food coloring for St. Patrick's Day dinner...then you don't know how to eat !!

I wanted to give everyone a quick update on Marty. He and Charing (Charing's mom Charing) flew out to New York last weekend. There was a surgeon there who was able to do the surgery. There are very few doctors in the US who are do this procedure, so it was great there was someone in New York City where their family is.

He had the surgery on Tuesday and came out perfect! Needless to say when you operate on the main artery leading to the brain the risks are high, but he sailed through. He was in ICU for a couple of days and is now released from the hospital. They are heading home from NY in a couple of days! We are all so excited that everything worked out so well! Marty, we all love you and can't wait for you to come home!!

Get Well Soon!

Our junior member is heading under the knife! Little sweet Morgan is going in to get her tonsils taken out tomorrow morning. Morgan, you are going to fit right in with the rest of the ZPO's...I am thinking over half the group have had theirs removed as well! We all hope you are back up and running as soon as possible. Until then, enjoy the time off school and all the ice cream and soft food you can handle!

Dinner at Liz's New House!

We had our February meeting back a couple of weeks ago (sorry this post is a little late!). Liz had all of us over for dinner at her and Cory's new house! The house if full of so many memories because they bought it from our parents. They have done such a wonderful job of decorating it and it looks so great! It is funny to be in a new home that already feel so comfortable!

Liz made a great dinner for everyone. We had salad and lasagna which were both wonderful! She also made this really great coffee cake, so all in all the food was just about perfect! All the girls were there except for Missy, who has to work weekend nights due to school. Missy, we will have a lunch ZPO soon! We missed you!!

The night was really perfect. We sat around talking and laughing, watching old videos and telling stories. After Charing warned us to watch our glasses due to Carter, she did managed to spill her own! The funniest part was her scream! Thank God Liz and Cory have hard wood. No damage done! All in all it was a great night with the girls. Liz, thanks so much for having us all over. It was great!

Get Well Soon!!

Charings step-dad is in the hospital. All the ZPO's know and love Marty, so needless to say we are all very worried. Apparently he had a stroke on Saturday, and was having an Angiogram done today. As of this morning he was doing well. It is always so difficult when these things happen. We are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.

Have a Great Trip!!!

Our sweet Charing had left the state. Her wonderful Aunt Gomy (is that how you spell Gomy???) figured she needed a weekend away, so she flew Charing and Carter up to New York to hang with the family for a couple of days. They are just in time to ring in the Chinese New Year!

Charing, we hope you are recharging and relaxing, but come home soon!!! We miss you!

Next Friday is ZPO at Liz's house. Be there or be square!(That's right)

Wednesday, February 14, 2007

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Happy Valentines Day ZPO! I know some of you lucky girls were all out of school today...what a perfect start to the day of luv!! Anyways, just a quick post to say that I hope everyone has a perfect valentines Day!

Looks like we are going to have the February meeting on the 23rd at Liz's house. Should be really great, so everybody better be there!

Super Bowl Sunday!

So last Sunday was the Super Bowl, so of course the ZPO's had to have a party! We all headed over to Charing and Scott's for the big event (that is, all of us but Candice, who had to work that night). Everybody brought over some food so it was a big pot luck. Scott made a betting table, so we could all have a chance at winning some money on the game. The big winners turned out to be Boo&Chris and Charing&Scott. Not to bad!

Along with watching the game, we got to meet Rhi's boyfriend Travis, who was very nice. We also met Missys friend from school. The more the merrier! The game was really exciting and fun to watch. Funny that they always put the Super Bowl in places with nice weather, then they had the terrible down-pour the entire game.

We were all routing for the Colts, so it turned out perfect in the end. Thanks again to Charing and Scott for having us all over. It is always fun to watch the big game with a crowd!

The Lunch Bunch!

Before I begin this post, I will say that yes we know we made up dumb names for things, and no we don't care! So some of the ZPO's have started a weekly lunch date. It is so wonderful!! The gang is usually me, Charing, Missy and my friend Tarp from work. we were joined by Boo and Candice on a snow day, and I assume they will be regulars along with Rhi in the summer time. Anyways, we are now calling it the Lunch Bunch, and once an event gets a name, then it is high time it had a post!

As for now, we are doing lunch at Charings house, but maybe in the spring we will venture out the patios and what not . Take in some fresh air(and work in a place where Liz would have time to meet and join in the fun!)! Anyways, lunch bunch is always really great and Charing is so wonderful for being the host!

Don't forget about the Super Bowl party this weekend! Hope everyone is able to make it!

My new Blog!

In case you haven't heard, I am now writing another blog along with the ZPO site. If you are interested, than take a look! Here is BIO-GIRL ! I am pretty excited about it!

Looks like the Super Bowl party is on a roll. We are planning on 4:30 at Charing and Scott's. Everyone is bringing a dish and some drinks. We are also going to have a pool going, so there might even be a little money in it for you! Can't wait to see everyone there!

The Meeting that Wasn't

Look!!! I am actually keeping my promise of another post by the end of the week!! Just so you know, I am really proud of myself. Okay...now to the post...

Our January meeting was scheduled for last Friday, but sadly it fell apart. We were meeting at Liz's new house so we could all see how great it is. Unfortunately, the day of the meeting Liz had a TERRIBLE toothache and it was just not possible for her to host a dinner when she was so miserable. We thought of still having it, but Candice was in South Carolina and Missy had to work, so we thought it was best to postpone. We are hoping to all get togther for our next meeting really soon, but the date hasn't been set. I will keep you all posted!

We have all had so much going on these days. Candice is in high swing with her student teaching and interviews for next year. It has been really tough, but it is so exciting. Candice, we know you will get a great school and the perfect job!

Rhi and her new beau Travis have been spending lots of time together and it is going really great! We are hoping to meet him at Super Bowl. Speaking of which, Charing and Scott are having people over for the game, and we are all invited! Should be great!! We will work out the details later.

As for the rest of us, life is crazy but good. Work is crazy, home is crazy...you know you know. We are back to our 130 meetings every Saturday morning, so that is great (great company for breakfast but the scale can be cruel....)

Anyways, I am heading for SIS day so I must run, but really wanted to keep my promise. I will say that I had to go back and read all the old posts on the site the other day due to a request to remove anything that is not appropriate, and let me tell you...I really enjoyed it! Whenever you all are waiting weeks for a new post, you should just go read the old ones and see how great I used to be at posting and all the great stuff we have done! Thats it for now. Have a great weekend!!

Our Little Basketball Star

You all better hold on to these pictures because one day this girl will be famous! Here is our amazing junior member as a seventh grader playing on the high school basketball team!

look at how cute she is in her uniform!! (showing how I am not athletic at all being that what I notice is her outfit...)And doesn't she look fast and what not?!?!

looks like great form to me!

and she guards...that is also really great....so I assume

Morgan, we might not all be great b-ball players, but we do know one when we see one. We are all so proud of you!!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I promise to post with updates on ZPO life by the end of the week, but for now I am off to dinner. Hope everyone is having a great week!

The Best New Years Eve Party EVER!!

You know how New Years partys almost always kind of disappoint. No matter how much work you put into it, the party just never lives up to what you feel like a New Years bash should be?? Well, let me tell you this DID NOT happen this year! We had the best night ever!!

Caring and Scott were so wonderful and had the New Years party at their house. It is so great to do things over there because they have so much room for all of us. They have the perfect party house!

One wonderful thing that helped to make the party perfect was that all seven ZPO's were there! With our busy schedules and different lives, that commonly is difficult for a big holiday, but we pulled it off to bring in the new year!

The party was actually really big! Everyone seemed to bring a few extra people (very few of which seemed to be pictured...because...well, we like pictures of ourselves!) But the point being, we had a really good crowd (very important for a new years party). The Kelseys had gone all out and had tons of great food and of course a never ending supply of any alcohol you can thing of (also very important for the perfect new years party!)

We had some important guests that are worth mentioning...First off, Josh was in from the war! He had his leave over the holiday so he got to spend new years with us. It was so wonderful to see him home safe and sound! He looks so grown up! We also got to meet Gunner for the first time! He is Davis and Candice's new German Shepherd puppy. He is just about the cutest thing I have ever seen. Between Gunner, Ebony and Chach, Carter was very entertained!!

The party rolled into the early morning with people drinking, laughing...and I am pretty sure there was even some dancing going on! Nick and I headed for home around 4am and still left a handful of people sitting around in the garage laughing and talking. Like I said...the best new years party ever!!

Wednesday, January 03, 2007

Happy New Year ZPO...and other things

Happy Happy New Year ZPO and all of the ZPO family and friends! We all rolled into the new year with a HUGE party at Charing and Scotts which was just about as fun as any new years party can eve be. I will have a party post up just as soon as I collect the pictures from everyone. Anyways, just wanted to put up a new post saying I was so happy to spend New Years Eve with all of my ZPO girls and I so hope that it was a great start to a great 2007!

A quick update on a couple of other things....

Our little genius Missy made straight A's! Missy, we are all so proud of you! Keep up the great work!

Are you ready for this one....Morgan made the HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL TEAM!!!!!!! Let me remind you that she is in the seventh grade. AMAZING!! Morgan, we are so proud! We can't wait to see you in the old red and black!

I fixed the link to the wedding pictures on the last post. My bad. I entered it in wrong. Anyways, it now works perfectly and you can take a look at the wedding pic's whenever you like!

I will also add that the ZPO's all had a great Christmas (maybe except for Rhi who spend a large chunk of it looking for her cat..but he was found!!) Candice and Davis have a new dog, Rhi has a new iRiver, Boo has a new kitchenaid, Missy has a new laptop, I have a new coat and a new coach (plus a new Wii I am completely addicted too), Liz has a new house, and Charing has a new wedding ring(plus starting today an empty house...which might be worth more)! Not bad at all!! We all missed our families that couldn't be with us, but all in all it was a perfect rainy Christmas! That's about it for now. I am off to work!
